Tacos Dorados

Ingredients
Savor the irresistible crunch and flavor explosion of our tacos dorados, made with La Finca tortillas.
For the Filling
2 cups cooked and shredded chicken, beef, or potatoes (your choice)
1/2 cup diced onions
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon ground cumins
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Cooking oil for frying
For Assembling
12-16 Corn Tortillas for Frying La Finca
Toothpicks or small skewers
For Garnish (Optional)
Shredded lettuce
Diced tomatoes
Crumbled queso fresco or shredded cheese
Salsa
Sour cream
Guacamole
Prepare the Filling: In a skillet, heat a bit of oil over medium heat. Add diced onions and minced garlic and sauté until they become translucent. Add the shredded meat or potatoes to the skillet and season with ground cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until heated through and well-seasoned
Assemble the Tacos Dorados: Heat the corn tortillas briefly in a dry skillet or microwave them for a few seconds until they become soft and pliable. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each tortilla. Roll up the tortillas tightly around the filling and secure them with toothpicks or small skewers
Fry the Tacos: In a deep skillet or pot, heat about 1 inch of cooking oil over medium-high heat. Carefully add the rolled tacos to the hot oil, seam side down. Fry until they become golden brown and crispy, turning occasionally to ensure even cooking. This usually takes about 3-5 minutes.
Drain and Serve: Use a slotted spoon to remove the fried tacos from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain any excess oil.
Garnish and Enjoy: Serve the Tacos Dorados hot and garnish them with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, crumbled queso fresco or cheese, salsa, sour cream, and guacamole, if desired.
